Questions about Dolphin Royal Swim + Turtle Centre
What interactions are included in the Royal Swim?+
The Royal Swim is the most complete program. It includes the famous double foot-push where two dolphins simultaneously push you by the soles of your feet across the water, the dorsal-fin tow where you hold on as a dolphin speeds through the water, plus a hug, a kiss, and a handshake. It is the fastest and most physically exciting program available.
Which program is right for my group?+
Not sure which to choose? Here is a quick guide. The Encounter (from $129) has no swimming required, great for non-swimmers, grandparents, and guests who prefer a dry-platform experience. The Swim Adventure (from $159) goes into deeper water with a board push and belly ride alongside one dolphin, ideal for active swimmers who want more action. The Royal Swim (from $199) is the most exhilarating option: a dorsal-fin tow and foot push with two dolphins simultaneously. The Private Platform ($1,990 for up to 10 guests) gives your whole group a private session with professional photos included. All programs welcome children and include complimentary Cayman Turtle Centre entrance. Message us and we will help you pick the right one.
What is the children's policy?+
All four programs welcome children. Babies aged 0 to 3 join free. Kids aged 4 to 12 pay kids rates: $99 Encounter, $139 Swim Adventure, $159 Royal Swim. For the Royal Swim, children need to be at least 48 inches (1.21 m) tall. Children between 48 and 55 inches (1.21 to 1.39 m) participate alongside one paying adult. Children taller than 55 inches (1.39 m) book at adult rates and join independently. Life vests are provided for all participants.
Are there age or health restrictions?+
Adults aged 60 to 79 may participate in the Royal Swim provided they are physically independent, have no medical or mobility issues, and know how to swim. Adults aged 80 and older may only participate in the Dolphin Encounter. If you have any health condition, please contact us before booking.
Can pregnant women participate?+
Women who are 5 months or more into their pregnancy cannot participate in the Royal Swim or any swim program. Women in the first 4 months of pregnancy may only join the Encounter, accompanied by another adult and after signing a Responsibility Form.
Is the Cayman Turtle Centre included?+
Yes. Every Dolphin Discovery ticket includes complimentary entry to the Cayman Turtle Centre right next door, so you can make a full day of it at no extra cost.
What time should we arrive?+
Arrive at least 30 minutes early for check-in and a briefing. Sessions run daily at 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:30 PM. Dolphin Discovery is about 10 km from George Town, roughly 20 to 30 minutes by taxi.
What travelers say
★ 4.8 · 2100 reviews"We did this for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The foot push with two dolphins launching you through the water is the most exhilarating thing I've ever done on a vacation. Strong swimmers only, but absolutely incredible."

"The dorsal-fin tow is the moment you'll replay in your head for years. Two dolphins, one on each side, towing you at real speed across the lagoon. The trainers are world-class and safety is clearly the priority throughout."
Paul H.
Melbourne, Australia · January 2025
"We've done dolphin swims in other countries. This is the best one we've experienced. The range of interactions is wider, the dolphins are clearly well-cared for, and the trainers explain everything beautifully. A standout experience."
